The Bush administration on Wednesday asked a federal judge to order Google Inc. to turn over a broad range of material from its closely guarded databases.

Adobe Lightroom beta

Adobe looks like they are beta testing a competitor to Apple's Aperture, called Lightroom. Available on OS X only for now, but what I like even is the fact that they are going directly to their users to get feedback on what they want the program to do. They clearly state, "We want to show you our direction and get your feedback so that we can incorporate it into future releases."

Releasing a half-finished product to the public in order to figure out how to actually finish it. So crazy, it might just work.
